About Our Mechanical Technician Opportunities
We regularly recruit skilled Mechanical Technicians into different specialisms throughout our Science and Technical Divisions. We're interested in hearing from talented individuals who want to develop their career at Diamond, including those who have previously served in the UK Armed Forces.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, maintain, and repair the Diamond facility's mechanical systems.
- Inspect and test components and subsystems to ensure they meet quality standards.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform pipe fitting to Swagelok qualifications.
- Modify and manufacture components using manual and CNC machines.
- Conduct lifting operations when trained and registered.
- Operate Tug and Trailer when trained and registered.
- Operate Forklift Trucks when trained and registered.
- Log information in databases, Excel, and Word documents.
- Use hand tools and metrology equipment, such as torque wrenches, dial test indicators, micrometers, vernier calipers, hydraulic pressure test equipment, and clean assembly procedures.
- Use vacuum test equipment.
Training and Development
We provide training as necessary to ensure our Mechanical Technicians have the skills and knowledge required for their roles.
