Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional software developer to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of our cutting-edge, enterprise-class real-time securities trading system.
This candidate will join our team of skilled technologists responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial applications. The system is primarily built using Python, Oracle PL/SQL, and C++ on Linux, with web application frontends developed using JavaScript (AngularJS/VUE).
The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative environment, requiring a history of application development, testing automation, support, enhancements, and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy large-scale distributed financial applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software integrity.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production-related issues.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience in Python programming with a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Proficiency in web development using VUE or AngularJS.
- Knowledge of relational databases, with Oracle PL/SQL experience a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems design and methodology.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Git.
- Programming knowledge in C++.
- Understanding of event-driven programming models.
- Experience working on middle office applications for trading systems.
- Knowledge of the FIX protocol.
