Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Relief Chef to join our team. As a Relief Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality food and beverage services are delivered to our residents. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food storage, and waste disposal
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Participate in menu planning and development, ensuring dishes meet the dietary needs of residents

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home setting
  • Excellent culinary skills, with the ability to prepare a variety of meals
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge
