Join our SEND and Inclusion service at Wiltshire Council and contribute to enhancing the lives of families and children/young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior SEND Coordinator, you will serve as the primary liaison for young individuals and their families, especially those who are vulnerable or facing challenges in their educational journey.
Your role will include:
- Acting as a consistent point of contact for children and families with complex needs.
- Collaborating with various services, including Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Services and Youth Justice.
- Identifying the need for specialist intervention and facilitating connections with appropriate professionals.
- Working from a locality hub to ensure accessibility and support.
We seek individuals who are dedicated, organized, and have substantial experience working with SEND children and their families. A minimum of a level 4 recognized qualification is required, along with at least three years of experience in relevant fields such as early years, social care, health, or education.
