Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include overseeing and executing the repair, maintenance, and installation of complex systems across all properties managed by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. This role will require a multi-disciplinary approach, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities associated with your primary trade as an Electrician. Specific tasks will involve:

  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across various systems.
  • Acting as an Authorised Person (AP) in Low Voltage (LV) Electrical, which includes issuing work permits and managing electrical shutdowns in a compliant manner to facilitate maintenance or larger capital projects.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • An electrical background with an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant electrical engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency in fault-finding, diagnosing, and rectifying electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with planned maintenance systems.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Driving License.
