About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the provision of the highest standards of care in our surgical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure practice is in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and work within limits of competence.
  • Maintain a high standard of nursing care applying evidence-based practice.
  • Carry out the daily personal care of patients.
  • Promptly and effectively communicate relevant changes in patient status to the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ensure the safe custody, supply and administration of drugs and therapeutic substances in accordance with Trust policy.
Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC Register.
  • Mentorship preparation programme (or required to complete once in post) if applicable to clinical area.

Experience

  • Recent experience of nursing in an acute hospital environment.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
