Mathematics Teacher Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Protocol Education.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality and engaging mathematics lessons to secondary level students, promoting academic excellence and fostering a love for mathematics.
• Evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations, providing individualized support to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts and address knowledge gaps.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom, promoting diversity, equity, and cultural alignment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, incorporating technology and interactive methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' academic progress, providing timely and insightful feedback to support student success.

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics
• Degree in Mathematics or related field
• 2+ years of proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level
• Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and educational policies

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to meet the needs of individual students
• Organizational skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Education
• Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The teacher will be expected to work full-time hours during term time, with additional responsibilities such as parent-teacher meetings and extracurricular activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
