Job Title: Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Caerphilly County Borough Council. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents in a professional catering environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience for our residents.
Requirements:
  • A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
  • A willingness to work towards QCF/NVQ level 2/3 in Catering, within specified timeframes.
  • Ability to prepare a large quantity of meals in a professional catering environment, maintaining cleanliness and high standards of hygiene.
