About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Utilita Energy. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software applications using React and TypeScript.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, structured, and reusable code for our bespoke applications, mobile apps, websites, APIs, and databases.
  • Work in Agile product teams to develop new software, features, changes, and fixes, ready for deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Mentor and support junior software engineers and associate software engineers.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in React and TypeScript, with a proven track record of delivering quality code.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex challenges in a logical and methodical manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with back-end technologies, including APIs, REST, JSON, and HTTP.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Ability to work on-call on a rota basis (24/7) and pass an enhanced security vetting process.
