About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Procurement professional to join our team in Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Procurement. As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will lead critical initiatives and orchestrate negotiations to secure optimal contracts. Your role involves cultivating robust supplier relationships, analysing market dynamics, and driving cost-saving measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan negotiations, define awarding strategy, and prepare sourcing board approvals to enable pooling potential.
- Negotiate local, regional, or multi-site contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers or independently.
- Contribute to EcoSystem commodity strategy and develop a business listing of preferred suppliers.
- Manage the relationship with assigned suppliers and support supplier segmentation of the relevant supply base.
- Analyse local and regional market trends and their utilisation in commodity strategy.
- Identify customer requirements and support the execution process, providing input into the sourcing process.
- Monitor supplier performance and inform relevant customers about this performance.
- Generate, document, and implement savings measures; monitor and report relevant KPIs.
- Drive early procurement/supplier involvement and cost-out activities.
- Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement respective measures.
- Implement Commodity Strategies and define local/regional material field strategy for non-pooled commodities.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management.
- Outstanding Excel skills.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and customer management skills.
- Excellent commercial, contractual, and project management competence.
- Familiarity with component manufacturing processes and quality.
- Knowledge of working with a global supplier base, in a matrix environment.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree.
