Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  2. Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and meet the required standards.
  3. Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly coordinated and executed.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of personnel and the environment.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and other relevant documents.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in design and development.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  5. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
