Senior React Developer

McGregor Boyall is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global leader in the financial markets, with a competitive salary of up to £120k per annum, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be based out of the City of London offices, with flexible remote working options. As a well-rounded hands-on web developer, you will have experience in modern web development, deployment, and support, with a strong background in creating and maintaining React web applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary technical leader and developer on the UI team, demonstrating strong technical competencies and acting as a dependable and high-value contributor within the team.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality React web applications, utilizing modern UI engineering principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions, leveraging expertise in coding fundamentals, OO design principles, and UI libraries such as Material UI or Ant Design.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying creative problem-solving skills to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Expert-level knowledge of React, Typescript, and modern UI engineering principles.
  • Strong understanding of coding fundamentals, OO design principles, and UI libraries such as Material UI or Ant Design.
  • Experience with Sass, Less, and Webpack.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
