Position: Special Education Instructor


Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Instructor to provide tailored educational support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.


Key Responsibilities:


As a Special Education Instructor, you will:

  • Engage with students who have diverse learning requirements, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), SEMH, or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
  • Deliver personalized, face-to-face educational assistance either in the comfort of the student's home or at a community facility.
  • Design and implement lesson plans and educational resources that cater specifically to the individual needs of each student.
  • Utilize effective strategies to enhance students' self-esteem and confidence in their learning abilities.
  • Manage and support students exhibiting challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.
  • Monitor and assess the academic progress of students, ensuring they meet their learning objectives, and provide comprehensive weekly progress reports.


Applicants should possess experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and hold a valid enhanced DBS check for child workforce. This role is essential for fostering an inclusive educational environment and making a positive impact on the lives of students with unique learning needs.
