Job Title: Principal Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Kent Plc. As a key member of our offshore geotechnics team, you will play a critical role in the delivery of our offshore wind projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in offshore geotechnics, including site investigation and characterization, ground risk management, foundation design, soil-structure interaction, and foundation installation. You will be responsible for acting as discipline lead in the delivery of offshore geotechnics projects, providing technical reviews, mentoring junior geotechnical engineers, and supporting the development of the team's capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as discipline lead in the delivery of offshore geotechnics projects
  • Providing technical reviews
  • Mentoring junior geotechnical engineers and supporting the development of the team's capability
  • Supporting business development, team strategy, and people management
Requirements
  • Excellent technical skills and extensive experience in offshore geotechnics
  • Experience in planning, scoping, and specifying offshore geotechnical surveys and advanced laboratory testing
  • Chartered status as a civil engineer or geologist
  • Excellent report writing skills and commercial track record in negotiating and running successful jobs
