The Role

We are seeking a Senior Gas Market Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Gas Market Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring the Asian market from fundamental and macro perspectives and sharing insights with stakeholders regularly. You will also translate overall NEA and broader Asian market fundamental analysis into commercial views, generate trading ideas, and communicate them to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Asian market from fundamental and macro perspectives and share insights with stakeholders regularly.
  • Translate overall NEA and broader Asian market fundamental analysis into commercial views, generate trading ideas, and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends of LNG mid- and long-term with regards to the global demand and supply balance.
  • Build longer-term views on likely market trends and assist the business with contract renegotiations and origination deals when required.
  • Develop views to assist regional LNG price views, including the cost of chartering, and stay on top of the latest LNG shipping movements, performing competitor analysis, and communicating trends.

Requirements

  • Develop and maintain supply and demand models to forecast the global LNG balances in the relevant markets in East and South Asia, with a focus on China and NEA.
  • Study all drivers, including alternative fuels, and build the tools that impact the price of gas.
  • Share insights on wider gas and relevant commodity markets, understanding their impacts on our views and positions.
