Key Responsibilities:
Client Management - ensure clients receive a proactive and efficient service, consistently exceeding their expectations throughout the year. Collaborate with client Partners and other Evelyn Partners staff to keep everyone informed on relevant matters. Business Acumen - maintain a comprehensive understanding of clients' operations and the implications for our work. Team Leadership - organize schedules, allocate staff, and oversee the planning, review, and completion of audits and related assignments. Business Development - prepare and review proposals for new engagements, participate in marketing events, cultivate personal connections, and proactively identify opportunities for Evelyn Partners with existing clients. Administrative Oversight - monitor the bookings and workloads of qualified and junior staff to ensure optimal resource utilization. Engage with junior staff to address any emerging issues. Training and Development - ensure assessment forms are completed and provide constructive feedback to staff on all assignments. Facilitate both in-house and external training opportunities. Financial Oversight - manage client billing and maintain awareness of work in progress (WIP).Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA). Extensive external audit experience within a professional services context. Experience working with entrepreneurial, owner-managed businesses, and small to medium enterprises. Proven track record in business development activities, including targeting, proposal preparation, presentations, and networking. Solid understanding of accounting and auditing standards, industry specifics, and their application. Familiarity with the skill requirements of staff at various levels to ensure appropriate task allocation. Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with clients, Partners, staff, and other professionals. Previous experience in managing and motivating staff to achieve optimal performance. Strong organizational skills to meet the needs of clients, partners, and staff. Ability to monitor costs against budget for individual clients.Additional Benefits:
