About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of Made-to-Order (MTO) enquiries for the commercial and domestic wastewater treatment plant, pumping stations, and separators sectors. This role will require close collaboration with the internal sales team and production operatives to ensure seamless MTO processes.

The Project Engineer will play a key role in designing new and improving existing products within the Klargester & Kingspan Water offering. This will involve:

  • Designing work using CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) for all MTO Orders
  • Developing and implementing changes and product improvements to the product ranges via the ECR/ECN process
  • Creating new products from design meetings with sales and process teams
  • Providing internal and external technical support and advice on design and installation of products
  • Generating technical sales documents, training literature, and production drawings for shop floor operatives
  • Creating reports and delivering presentations on the monthly MTO and project workload for the Water Business Unit
  • Staying up-to-date with new materials and tank construction methods
  • Managing item codes and Bill of Material creation and maintenance
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • A post-graduate qualification in a Science, Technology, or Engineering discipline (desirable)

Additionally, you will require:

  • Proven CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred with AutoCAD a useful addition)
  • Mechanical Design background (ideally with knowledge of GRP, drive components, and pumps)
  • Previous experience within the water industry, either sewage or pump station systems (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuit diagrams and/or previous wiring and electrical site experience (desirable)
  • Awareness of European legislation for water treatment, movement, and storage (desirable)
