Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, corporations, and individuals, ensuring all accounting and tax requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, corporations, and individuals, ensuring all accounting and tax requirements are met.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Manage and prepare VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns, ensuring timely submission and adherence to tax regulations.
  • Assist with audit preparation, liaise with auditors, and ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Oversee and manage bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate records and preparing monthly management accounts.
  • Provide clients with advice on financial and business matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all accounting matters.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and contribute to team development and training.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in an accounting practice, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage), Excel, and other MS Office applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial clients.
