Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Professional to join our Construction Safety Team at L&Q. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation in meeting its client responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain safety-related registers and trackers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the management and delivery of safety-related projects, including the collation and issue of pre-construction information.
- Conduct regular audits and due diligence checks to monitor safety performance of contractors and partners.
- Provide advice and guidance to applicable teams on the requirements of the CDM health and safety file.
- Collate and report monthly monitoring and performance data received from partners and external consultants.
Requirements
- Professional competence with a minimum of NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate and affiliation to an internationally recognised health and safety institute.
- Demonstrable construction knowledge, with an understanding of construction/maintenance terminology and processes, H&S legislation applicable to construction, and/or M&E - Housing Sector experience will be advantageous.
- Good understanding and experience with Construction Design Management Regulations 2015, specifically on the client side, including undertaking contractor audits.
- Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Fluent in Excel, PowerPoint, and standard Microsoft programmes.
- Ability to clearly communicate messages/instructions.
- Ability to plan and manage workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to react quickly to ad-hoc requests.
