Electrical Engineering Team Lead Opportunity

Samuel Frank is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Lead to join their team in a globally recognized manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of HV Technicians and Electricians, managing specialist HV support contracts, and ensuring the safe operation of HV/LV infrastructure on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of experienced HV Technicians and Electricians in the management of HV/LV infrastructure
  2. Manage specialist HV support contracts and cable jointing contractors
  3. Authorize switching operations (33kV minimum) and develop switching schedules
  4. Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and protocols
  5. Participate in the site electrical safety committee and contribute to the development of electrical safety policies
  6. Deliver annual electrical safety training to team members
  7. Stay up-to-date with current legislation, including 'Electricity at Work' regulations, and ensure compliance
  8. Manage Health and Safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment
  9. Develop and implement risk assessments and mitigation strategies

Requirements:

  1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
  2. Proven experience in electrical engineering and team leadership
  3. Strong communication and leadership skills
  4. Ability to develop and implement electrical safety procedures and protocols
  5. Knowledge of current legislation, including 'Electricity at Work' regulations
