About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our firmware team at Ocado Mobile Robotics. As a key individual contributor, you will play a crucial part in driving Ocado Technology's technical vision and contributing to the development of our new product suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to technical decisions within the team
  • Set standards and establish effective ways of working
  • Support the team's delivery and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Manage and prioritize your workload to meet team goals effectively
  • Demonstrate Ocado Technology's values in your work
  • Support recruitment through developing technical interviewing skills and participating in external PR and events
  • Contribute to technical discovery by sharing constructive ideas and providing critique
  • Participate in design activities and capture learnings effectively
  • Design solutions with Ocado Tech's engineering principles in mind
  • Engage in the full product delivery lifecycle
  • Collaborate with and review the work of your team members
Requirements
  • Experience with C++
  • Recent and relevant experience in firmware or embedded software development in a team environment
  • Experience of developing software in large codebases, including testing methodologies
  • Experience using Agile methodologies
  • Bias for action, collaboration, and optimism
  • Logical and take a structured approach, including in situations of ambiguity
  • Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar Technology degree
