Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support and develop the technical infrastructure of Libraries, Museums & Galleries, focusing primarily on the University's heritage collections but also contributing to wider systems strategies for service development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the technical elements of our Digital Shift strategy, supporting Special Collections & Archives and Museums & Galleries in establishing a new suite of systems.
  • Contribute to the University's strategic priorities in research, teaching and public engagement.
  • Develop and implement new systems to support research and education.
  • Collaborate with academic, library, museums and IT Services colleagues to drive service development.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification or proven experience of systems administration in a busy service environment.
  • Commitment to continual professional development.
  • Practical problem-solving ability, flexible and proactive approach to work, and excellent communication skills.
