About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Portering Team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a General Porter, you will play a vital role in providing an excellent patient care experience, working closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a flexible and efficient quality service extending care and consideration to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Receive work requests via telephone, email, and the Trust's in-house task management system, taking prompt and appropriate action in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Prioritize work and direct staff accordingly, via 2-way radio and telephone, to ensure optimum use of resources.
- Undertake all portering and support worker duties, including dispatching, corridor clearance, furniture requests, and office moves, while working at the Centre for Women's Health reception and other facilities roles commensurate with the banding.
Working Pattern
12-hour shifts, including nights, days, weekends, and bank holidays, for which allowances will be paid.

Person Specification
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and has the skills and experience to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
