The Team
The Schroder Solutions team comprises over 200 specialists, with the Analyst position focusing on Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) clients within the Client Solutions division. This team is tasked with managing the assets of several key clients' pension plans, which involves making informed recommendations regarding investment strategies, manager selections, and asset allocation adjustments for client consideration, ensuring effective implementation and communication of the agreed strategies.
Key Responsibilities
As an Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting investment strategies, managing risks, and engaging with clients for specific large OCIO accounts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting lead Strategists in delivering comprehensive investment services, including the design of investment strategies and the development of solutions that respond to market fluctuations.
- Building and nurturing relationships with clients.
- Producing high-quality client materials within specified timelines.
- Conducting numerical analyses utilizing our proprietary strategy development tools.
- Contributing to the identification of new business opportunities.
- Monitoring investment strategies for pension schemes.
Qualifications and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A solid understanding of UK Defined Benefit (DB) pension scheme assets and liabilities, including various asset classes and the application of derivatives for risk management.
- Knowledge of pension scheme investment strategies.
- At least a foundational awareness of current trends and issues within the pension scheme industry.
- Previous experience in investment consultancy, asset management, or actuarial services is advantageous.
