Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects by providing expert advice and guidance to our construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Management: Ensure compliance with subcontractors' requirements through the construction phase, providing appropriate advice to the construction team in respect of subcontract obligations.
- Valuation and Payment: Submit valuations in accordance with the agreed project payment schedule, ensuring timely payment to subcontractors.
- Payment Monitoring: Monitor payments to ensure payment dates are met, maintaining accurate records of payments and reconciliations.
- Variations and Claims: Identify, price, submit, and agree on variation and claims costs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate notifications, progress updates, and cost reports.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, including cost value reconciliations, assessment of value adjustments, cost accruals, subcontract liabilities, materials reconciliation, and cost checks.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, ensuring the company's interests are protected.
- Contract Management: Maintain master contract folders, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of contracts and agreements.
- Procurement: Procure subcontractor elements of work, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies.
- Training and Development: Supervise, guide, and assist junior quantity surveyors in their development, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
