As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing a team of electrical engineers and automotive electricians. Your primary focus will be on the design and development of battery electric classic vehicles that meet safety, performance, and customer satisfaction standards while adhering to company timelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour role will encompass the following:
- Collaborate with the Head of Whole Vehicle and Head of T+D to enhance low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) architecture in compliance with the latest regulations, functional safety, cost-effectiveness, and performance benchmarks.
- Provide guidance to mechanical design engineers on optimal practices for harness routing and securing.
- Exhibit substantial expertise in LV and HV system design within automotive contexts.
- Demonstrate proficiency in conducting efficient root cause analysis.
- Utilize industry-standard software such as Visio and Arcadia effectively.
- Possess a strong comprehension of LV and HV component design and construction, including wires, connectors, insulation, and shielding.
- Have experience with automotive standards and communication protocols.
- Show knowledge of CAN bus and LIN bus systems.
The ideal candidate will hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field, showcasing a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles.
