Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical and Food Safety Lead to join our team at McCain Foods Limited. As a key member of our Regional Quality department, you will be responsible for leading the Hull plant in Food Safety, ensuring all systems, culture, and product standards meet both McCain and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a culture of accountability and a right-first-time approach to food safety
  • Implement food safety pre-requisites, systems, and leading indicators to manage food safety and drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with QA Management to ensure effective process control is in place to measure FTQ and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop people capability, succession planning, and engagement
  • Collaborate with the R&D team on new product development and execution, meeting customer standards and McCain food safety and quality standards
  • Manage key customer relationships and site host for customer and regulatory audits
  • Identify internal technical training needs and coordinate the transfer of knowledge
  • Assess food safety risks and resolve issues, maintaining consistency across sites
  • Validate product claims and identify ongoing measures required
