Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Senior Project Manager to join our Property team, based from our Edinburgh or Glasgow office. You will be responsible for delivering significant property schemes throughout Scotland and the North of England.

Our team is involved in delivering some of the region's largest and most exciting building projects in the residential, commercial office, and sports and leisure sectors, ranging from £2m to £1bn+ in value. We have a fantastic pipeline of projects, which will allow you to grow as an individual and provide you with the opportunity to work on the best projects and industry-leading clients in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with colleagues to provide pre and post-contract project management services.
  • Acting in other related capacities, including Employers Agent and Contract Administrator, in support of our PM Team achieving service excellence and positive outcomes for our clients.
  • Capturing and sharing knowledge and driving innovation in service.
  • Day-to-day duties include:
    • Working within established financial systems and clear project objectives to produce plans, schedules, and track budgets, highlighting variances in order to manage and control project delivery targets.
    • Delivering/managing small to medium-scale projects or assisting as part of a team on larger projects, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines.
    • Presenting any project risks or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted and ensure the delivery of projects to compliant standards.
    • Analysing and reviewing a range of data to identify key themes and trends and use the outputs to produce recommendations that support project decision-making.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing small to medium-sized construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen and organisational understanding.
  • A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Attainment of OR near attainment of relevant professional certification or chartered status.
