Community Emergency Care Provider

Position Overview
The Mobile Emergency Carer will play a vital role in delivering a Care at Home/Falls Response Service aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals within the community.
This position is part of the Home Care Associated Services Team, integrated within the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding promptly to Community Alarm calls.
- Utilizing specialized lifting equipment and assisting with the movement of individuals and equipment, including hoists and wheelchairs.
- Providing assistance to clients who have fallen but are not injured, adhering to Fife Falls guidelines.
- Delivering personal care and support to service users and their caregivers, tailored to assessed needs while employing professional and sensitive methods.
- Collaborating with Health and Social Care Partnership colleagues and other partner agencies to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Candidate Requirements
- A valid driving license is essential, as driving Council vehicles is a requirement of the role.
- Possession of an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a commitment to pursue this qualification.
- Prior experience in Care at Home services is preferred.
- Familiarity with the National Care Standards is necessary.
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council is required within six months of employment commencement.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a compassionate and positive attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Physical capability to perform the necessary tasks is also essential.
Note: Successful applicants will have a three-month window to initiate their SSSC registration application, ensuring compliance within the stipulated timeframe.
