About the Role
The Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Employment Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the Clinical Director in the day-to-day running and leadership of the Employment Advisor Service.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Senior Employment Advisors and Employment Advisors, ensuring the effective delivery of work-focused and non-work-focused interventions.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the performance and professionalism of the Employment Advisor team.
- Undertake training needs analysis and identify modular needs of individual team members.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the local labour market, local support, and new initiatives to broker effective interventions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address the needs of clients, including specialist schemes to help with retaining or finding employment.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- A Post Graduate or Master's degree in a relevant area or equivalent.
Experience
- Substantial experience of providing vocational/employment support and understanding of return to work planning.
- Experience in Employment advice or mental health core profession, social work, nursing, occupational health.
- Aware of the secondary effects on the individual that could be caused by their mental health experience.
- Knowledge of employment and disability-related benefits.
