Scantec Recruitment is working with a leading Manufacturing business in Cardiff to find a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer for a shift-based role. If you're looking to advance your career and work for a company that invests in its employees, this could be the perfect opportunity.

This is a great chance for structured career development and progression. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional maintenance team, providing a multi-skilled engineering resource and first-line maintenance to the site. You will cover both mechanical and electrical, breakdown, fault-finding, and scheduled maintenance activities to ensure the site's manufacturing equipment is maintained and available for use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned maintenance and breakdown support to all areas of the site.
  • Gain understanding of the impact of facilities on the running of the plant to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize downtimes.
  • Take an active role in project developments and contribute to the site's continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have similar Engineering experience and hold relevant Engineering qualifications in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
  • Food Manufacturing experience is desired but not essential; ideally, you will have some other FMCG / Manufacturing experience.

Shift Pattern: 3 on, 3 off, Days and Nights, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am. Lots of overtime available.
