Position Overview

We are looking for an Outpatient Scheduling Coordinator who is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our Appointments Team, responsible for managing a variety of administrative tasks.

Your primary responsibilities will include handling a significant volume of patient inquiries via telephone, coordinating appointment schedules, and providing support to the broader outpatient team. You will address questions from medical professionals and other staff members, utilizing your judgment to escalate issues to senior personnel when necessary. It is essential to report any patient feedback or requests to the Appointments Supervisor promptly and to be aware of when to refer matters to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).

You will also be expected to participate in team meetings and organizational discussions as required.

Key Responsibilities

As an Outpatient Scheduling Coordinator, you will receive comprehensive training to assist the Outpatient Administration department effectively.

Your duties will encompass the scheduling and oversight of outpatient appointments within a call center environment. Additionally, you will aid in managing patient referrals in accordance with established performance metrics, ensuring a high standard of customer service for our patients.

You will work within defined schedules, efficiently prioritizing your tasks to meet all administrative obligations while bringing any concerns to the attention of the outpatient appointment supervisor. You will also handle inquiries from medical staff and other team members, using your discretion to determine when to seek assistance from more experienced colleagues.
