About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our dynamic and friendly law firm in Berkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment, with a clear defined career path and ongoing training.


Responsibilities:
Collate and manage correspondence and documents, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Utilise case, practice, and document management systems to maintain high standards. Provide exceptional client service, handling telephone calls, visitors, and enquiries professionally. Create and amend legal documents, maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail. Manage the diary system, arrange meetings, and handle expense claims. Organise digital filing systems and manage case management systems. Handle incoming mail, schedule files for archiving, and retrieve files from storage. Assist with monthly billing and ensure compliance with quality standards and firm policies. Provide secretarial cover during absences and undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Required Skills:
Demonstrate integrity, accountability, respect, and commitment. Proven ability to work under pressure with a hands-on approach. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate at all levels. Excellent client skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise a busy schedule.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in a legal secretary/paralegal or legal assistant role, ideally within a private practice, would be advantageous. Knowledge of working within a Family Law team and a person who enjoys working in a client-focused role would be beneficial.
