About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting product research and development, completion of engineering consultancy services, and carrying out engineering activities such as geotechnical assessment and structural analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support product research and development: Assist in the development of analytical techniques, completion of geotechnical lab testing, and performance of detailed engineering activities.
  2. Completion of engineering consultancy services: Ensure quality of work, completion on time and in budget, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  3. Carry out engineering activities: Conduct geotechnical assessment and structural analysis as applicable.
  4. Contribute to advancing technical competence: Focus on structural design and analysis.
  5. Provide technical advice: Respond to internal and external queries related to design, installation, and operations of anchoring systems.
  6. Attend laboratory operations and offshore operations: Participate in geotechnical laboratory operations, onshore inspections/tests, and offshore operations as required.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant Engineering discipline: Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar field.
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience: In the offshore energy industry.
    1. Geotechnical data assessment: Geotechnical analysis for offshore/subsea foundations.
    2. Structural analysis and design: For offshore/subsea structures.
    3. Design and operation: Of offshore mooring systems.
    4. Knowledge of offshore engineering codes: DNV, ISO, API, or other international codes.
    5. Competent user of engineering software: Creation and reviewing of models.
    6. Understanding of quality standards: UK and International quality standards.
