About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team at Parklands Care Home in Tain, Scotland. As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and delivering engaging activities that promote socialization, mobility, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the health and mental well-being of residents by facilitating their participation in daily activities that enhance their quality of life.
  • Organize and assist residents in accessing a variety of recreational activities, both individually and in groups, to encourage socialization and ensure they have a fulfilling experience at Parklands Care Home.
  • Effective communication with residents, staff, families, visitors, and healthcare professionals is essential for creating a positive environment.
  • Observe, monitor, and record residents' participation and well-being during activities, contributing to their care plans and personal life stories.
  • Supporting mobility and following safety protocols while helping residents with health appointments and ensuring enjoyable mealtimes are key duties.
  • Implement policies related to falls management and physical activity, attend mandatory training, and maintain confidentiality regarding residents and staff matters.
