About the Role

TPF Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Audit and Accounts Manager to join a dedicated and client-oriented team. In this position, you will support partners and managers in delivering high-quality audit and accounting services. Additionally, you will be instrumental in mentoring and managing junior staff, aiding their professional growth and development.

While the primary focus of this role is on audit, there will also be opportunities to engage in non-audit tasks, including the preparation of statutory accounts, tax compliance guidance, and various ad-hoc services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning, supervising, and executing comprehensive end-to-end audits
  • Adhering to agreed budgets and timelines
  • Leading audit teams, supervising and assigning tasks to trainees, and assisting them with technical inquiries
  • Delivering complete audit files for review
  • Participating in initial planning and audit closure meetings with clients
  • Maintaining close communication with clients, audit teams, and audit partners
  • Delivering work in accordance with primary accounting frameworks, mainly FRS 102
  • Preparing and reviewing annual statutory accounts and corporation tax services
  • Motivating and supporting team members
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, rules, and regulations
  • Building strong relationships with clients, providing personalized, professional, and efficient service
  • Identifying and understanding client needs, offering initial solutions, and communicating these to the manager/partner
  • Meeting annual chargeable hours targets
  • Taking responsibility for maintaining annual training requirements and proactively identifying personal training needs

Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA Qualified
  • Minimum of 2 years of auditing experience, including leading audits
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards (primarily FRS 102) and auditing standards
  • Proficient in using Audit and Accounts software and Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, partners, and colleagues
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize work, and manage time efficiently
  • Attention to detail and diligence
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
