The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks within their area of expertise as assigned by the Scheduler or relevant manager.
- Conducting gas and plumbing refurbishment tasks, including post-completion testing.
- Ordering necessary parts through the purchase order system.
- Managing inventory in the service vehicle as needed.
- Participating in the designated out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Offering recommendations and solutions to resolve maintenance issues.
- Measuring, estimating labor, and identifying material needs for subsequent work using the reporting system.
- Essential Domestic & Commercial Gas ACS qualifications.
- Basic proficiency in technology, including email and tablet usage for internal systems.
- A valid driving license is required.
- A solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices is crucial.
- Capability to work at heights.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Availability for emergency call-outs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rota basis.
- Attractive overtime compensation.
- Maximum travel distance of 1-2 hours from home.
- High-quality service vehicle (private use permitted).
- Provision of all necessary power tools, testing equipment, and access gear, which are regularly calibrated and inspected.
