Position Overview:
First Choice Staff is seeking to recruit 25 LGV 2 Drivers for a Temp to Perm opportunity at a prominent airport location.

Shift Patterns:
  • Main Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (8.5 hours per day), with a mix of early and late shifts.
  • Alternative Pattern: Wednesday to Sunday or Thursday to Monday (8.5 hours per day) until the end of September, transitioning to 4 on, 2 off thereafter.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Valid LGV2 / Class 2 driving license.
  • Experience in airside driving (formal qualification not required).
  • HGV qualification (newly qualified drivers are welcome).
  • Five-year checkable work history with no more than a 28-day gap.
  • Prior experience in airfreight operations (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Good physical fitness.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Capability to perform under pressure.
  • Commitment to Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate vehicles and equipment airside, adhering to airport regulations.
  • Transport cargo and materials between aircraft and designated locations.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any concerns.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a secure working environment.

Compensation:
  • Standard Pay: Competitive hourly rate.
  • Shift Allowance: £15.31 per hour.
  • Overtime Rates:
    £21.55 per hour (Monday to Friday)
    £28.74 per hour (Saturday - Sunday).
  • Bank Holidays: £28.74 per hour.
