Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Research team at East Cheshire NHS Trust. As a Research Governance Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our research studies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering research study notifications and record-keeping procedures, under the supervision of the Lead Clinical Research Nurse and Head of Clinical Governance. This will involve maintaining records of research governance reporting and compliance, such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and documentation submitted/issued with the Research Passport system.

You will also be responsible for maintaining archiving record management systems and continuing to track, register, and trace accordingly. Additionally, you will support with study amendments laid out by the Health Research Authority (HRA) while updating the Local Management Portfolio System (R-Peak) and supporting with general office administration and finance duties.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Access
  • Knowledge of research governance methodology and the NHS research agenda
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks
