About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in a bank position. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work across Hull and East Yorkshire, providing adult speech and language therapy in community settings, including community inpatient units, specialist multi-disciplinary stroke services, community clinics, and domiciliary visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy to adults with a range of conditions, including neurological disorders, voice difficulties, stammering, frailty, and respiratory conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy sessions to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and contribute to the development of the team's clinical practice.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Current HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Current RCSLT membership.
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Postgraduate dysphagia qualifications and/or evidence of competence at the highly specialist level on the RCSLT dysphagia competencies.
  • Experience of working in a community setting, preferably in a specialist multi-disciplinary team.
