Job Description

Job Title: Shift Lead

Company: Ash and Lacy Building Systems Ltd

Responsibilities
  1. Tool Management: Oversee and carry out all tool changes and preps to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Compliance and Quality: Ensure all activities are in accordance with company standard operating procedures and maintain quality levels and standards.
  3. Maintenance and Housekeeping: Proactively maintain machines and tooling, and enforce a clean and tidy work area.
  4. Materials Management: Assist with the management of materials to ensure adequate levels and minimize waste.
  5. Reporting and Communication: Accurately report performance to the production manager and communicate effectively with other departments, warehouse, maintenance, and tool makers.
  6. Health and Safety: Comply with and enforce company Health & Safety standards and fully support the company 5S scheme.
  7. Problem-Solving: Adjust settings as necessary to ensure quality products and identify and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Must have supervisor and setting experience, with a strong background in plastic injection moulding machines.
  2. Skills: Basic tooling knowledge, talented fault-finding skills, and strong understanding of safe systems at work.
  3. Education: Good Maths and English skills, both written and verbal.
  4. Availability: Must be able to work well under own supervision, with others, and some overtime.

  • Work Schedule: 8 hour shift, with potential for overtime and rotating shifts.
