About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Digital Information Officer to lead our digital transformation journey. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the digital strategy and ensuring the effective use of information technology to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the digital team and develop a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with the Trust's strategic framework.
  • Oversee the delivery of Digital Transformation, Data and Technology services within the Trust to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and staff to enhance the use of digital systems across the organisation, enabling the achievement of benefits and seamless integration of digital solutions.
  • Develop and implement innovative digital solutions that support the Trust's objectives and improve patient care.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, clinical teams, and external partners to develop and implement digital strategies that meet the needs of service users, the organisation, and health and care systems.
Requirements
  • Professional / academic qualification at masters level or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuous personal development.
  • Awareness of Clinical Safety Officer role through experience or qualification.
  • Experience of managing health and/or social care digital services at a Director level.
  • Experience working in multiple health and care settings, including mental health and community health care settings.
  • Experience in leading large and complex Shared Services spanning multiple care settings.
  • Substantial line management experience, including senior management and specialists.
  • Able to create / shape innovative strategic vision and plans for the best possible long-term benefit of service users, the organisation, and health and care systems.
  • Significant experience in delivering service improvements and transformational change through the implementation of Digital Technologies.
  • Strategic and business planning, including preparation of business cases.
  • Proven innovation and development skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve cultural change at an organisational level.
  • Experience of large budget management.
