Electrical Project Manager Opportunity

RGB Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Electrical Project Manager to lead a new and exciting project in the MEP sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-construction design process, ensuring it meets the company's high standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial understanding and a minimum of 5 years of project management experience working on large-scale projects in the M&E sector. A BTEC HNC/HND qualification and SMSTS certification are highly desirable.

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the pre-construction design process to ensure it meets the company's standards.
  • Reviewing design drawings and value engineering to optimize costs.
  • Attending progress and design team meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Preparing and monitoring contract programmes and progress reports to track project performance.
  • Procuring plant and materials in line with specification, drawings, and cost plan.
  • Managing subcontractors and ensuring they meet the company's expectations.
  • Preparing cost forecasts and recording cost variations to ensure accurate project costing.
  • Overseeing the commissioning process and ensuring a smooth handover to the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience working on £3 million+ projects in the M&E sector.
  • Strong commercial understanding and awareness.
  • BTEC HNC/HND advantageous.
  • SMSTS or equivalent.
