Innovate Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join our client's power converters and motors group. As an FPGA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing a broad spectrum of FPGA tasks, including requirements gathering, implementation, verification, and validation of programmed devices.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement FPGA circuits, including requirements capture, RTL coding, and physical stages.
- Define the conceptual structure and architecture of FPGA designs.
- Write and execute testbench code and other IV&V activities.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Apply model-based design techniques using MATLAB/Simulink modeling and simulation.
- Track and manage requirements, configuration control, incident reporting, and project documentation.
- Provide lab support during hardware development stages.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven track record of FPGA/ASIC design experience.
- Knowledge of CHDL with practical experience in successful projects.
- Experience with model-based design using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink (desirable).
- Ability to work to formal FPGA/ASIC design processes.
- Knowledge of digital electronics and other areas of engineering.
- Knowledge of best practice design lifecycle process.
- Customer-oriented approach.
The role will initially be hybrid, with the option to work remotely full-time after an initial period.
