Role Overview:
The Creative Language Specialist will collaborate closely with the Transcreation Manager and Senior Transcreation Manager, as well as internal production and voiceover teams. This role involves managing the transcreation and language processes, including the translation and adaptation of various media formats, and coordinating with local copywriters, translators, and voiceover directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Take ownership of translation and transcreation projects, from extensive copy translations to intricate international campaigns, either independently or as part of a team.
Language Adaptation:
Provide clear briefs to local copywriters and translators for adapting global content into local languages, ensuring high-quality adaptations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local translators and copywriters to ensure accurate translations and adaptations.
Assess the quality of adaptations under the guidance of senior management, ensuring consistency and reliability across all media.
Conduct quality assurance checks on voiceover recordings and final language adaptations before they are sent to production.
Client Engagement:
Gather comprehensive briefs from clients and agencies to ensure all necessary information is available for project execution.
Manage client approvals and feedback, fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: A degree in a relevant field such as English, Linguistics, or Marketing is preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience: A minimum of one year in project management or account handling within a communications agency, marketing department, or translation/transcreation agency.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in written and spoken English, with advanced knowledge of an additional language preferred.
Profile:
Enthusiastic team player with a passion for languages and strong analytical skills. Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
