Logistics Clerk Job Description

Durbin, a leading specialist medical supplier and part of Uniphar's Product Access division, is seeking a skilled Logistics Clerk to join their pharmaceutical operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support operational activities to ensure efficient and safe distribution of products to and from Durbin UK facilities.
  • Assist in day-to-day logistics functions, ensuring company targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email.
  • Organize, manage, and file own paperwork.
  • File general departmental paperwork when required.
  • Carry out general office duties.
  • Share responsibility for data-entry with other team members.
  • Complete the 'Track and Trace' process and update internal systems.
  • Prepare documents using the Durbin in-house system.
  • Raise Airway Bills and prepare relevant logistics paperwork.
  • Prepare labels and labelling for despatch of goods.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for various courier, freight, and shipping services.
  • Prepare invoices using the Durbin in-house system.
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required by company managers.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience of working with ERP and TMS systems.
  • Knowledge of NES/Customs Entry/Chief.
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods.
  • Freight experience, sea, air, and road.
Skills:
  • Previous logistics experience.
  • Knowledge of freight documentation.
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Pro-active approach.
