About The Role
Morrisons is recruiting for a Site Accountant at its manufacturing site to provide critical support to the Manufacturing management team. The role will provide on-site daily results and process guidance, driving change and improved profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of weekly P&L and detailed site weekly reporting.
- Business Partner Site GM and management team.
- Report Daily Cost and Yield information.
- Advise on best site practices and procedures.
- Providing insight and analysis on the performance drivers and cost drivers.
- Month End Journals and reconciliation to the weeklies.
- Mentor and train the on-site Assistant Accountant.
About You
- A professional qualification of CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent.
- Knowledge of financial and management accounting.
- Attention to detail.
- An ability to deliver in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical thinking and numerical skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel or Google sheets skills.
- Good verbal communication skills, ability to articulate financial data in a clear and transparent way.
- Resilience and ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
- Experience of stakeholder management.
- Experience of having to prioritize to meet deadlines.
About The Team
The Finance team partners with all teams and plays a big part in the big decisions. We support change programs and capital expenditure projects. We provide business leaders with vital management information and analysis. As well as looking after our cash, accounts, and working capital, we also control costs, produce forecasts, deliver insight, and manage supplier reporting and supplier payments.

At WM Morrisons, we cure bacon and supply our stores with over 190 meat products. Our team of 780 colleagues processes beef and pork for our Farmers Boy team to use in our pies, sausages, and cooked meats. We are proud to be the Yorkshire food retailer serving customers across the UK at just under 500 stores and an online home delivery service. Our 18 manufacturing sites provide our customers with the freshest produce from flowers, fish, and veg to burgers and bread, all delivered to our stores via our 6 distribution sites by our 2,000 strong fleet.
