Patient Safety Improvement Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Safety Improvement Manager to join our team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. As a key member of our Quality and Safety department, you will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Quality & Safety in the provision and planning of safe high-quality healthcare to patients across all areas of the Health Board.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Quality & Safety in the operational management of patient safety incidents, contributing to concerns and complaints where required when linked to a patient safety incident.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of robust systems and processes for ensuring that concerns involving patient safety are appropriately reported and investigated.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments and clinical areas to provide expert advice and support on all aspects of patient safety.
- Provide effective and responsive support to Care Group services, by co-ordinating and advising on the investigation of incidents and supporting appropriate investigations (including Root Cause Analysis) which have resulted in harm, advising on Duty of Candour, or where trends indicate the need for in-depth investigation, as agreed with the Head of Quality & Safety/Nurse Director /or Heads of Nursing.
