Supported Housing Improvement Programme Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Housing Solutions Team as a Supported Housing Improvement Project Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable individuals in our district.
About the Role:
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate the delivery of the Supported Housing Improvement Programme (SHIP) across South Derbyshire.
- Work closely with Environmental Health, Planning, Housing Solutions, Community Safety, and Housing Benefits teams to improve the quality of supported accommodation.
- Act as a point of contact for the partnership area, regulating and improving the quality of supported accommodation across South Derbyshire and neighbouring local authority areas.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, partners, and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of the SHIP programme, ensuring effective collaboration with partner agencies.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of supported accommodation and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase the quality and supply of supported accommodation across the South Derbyshire area.
- Provide training and support to staff and partners on supported housing best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a relevant field, including support, housing, social care, or benefits.
- Strong understanding of supported accommodation and experience working with homeless people or those with complex needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to form strong working relationships.
- Confident and self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
