Job Title: Registered General Nurse - Haematology
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered General Nurse to join our Haematology Day Unit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver expert care to patients with haematological cancers, sickle cell disease, and other haematology diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer intravenous drug therapy and manage patient care plans
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Develop and maintain skills in apheresis, phlebotomy, and cannulation
- Supervise and teach junior staff members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of the Haematology Day Unit
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a haematology setting
- Ability to administer prescribed medication, including transfusion of blood and blood products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Phlebotomy and cannulation skills
